PlanIt is an on-demand software application hosted from our secure servers. The benefit to this is that we are able to update the application often and are able to respond to customer requests very quickly. Normally for regular software, doing something as simple as adding a new column into a report could take weeks to implement and even longer to update to all clients. With an on-demand application like PlanIt, we can have those changes made in a matter of days and updated for clients in a matter of minutes. It also means no IT resources are required on the customer end, no servers to maintain or software to keep updated. We take care of all of that for you and the application is available for use from anywhere, at anytime.
Security Groups
PlanIt provides comprehensive security in both the application itself and the hosting environment. The application offers various levels of security rights for user access to the application. Security Groups range from regular user access for sales representatives, HR access, Finance access, Business Unit manager access, and comprehensive administration access. All security groups can be customized to limit or allow access to specific areas of the application, and custom security groups can be created to allow for even more control over access to the application.
System Security
PlanIt is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application hosted by Surgesoft. The application and all client data is hosted in a secure hosting facility with dedicated backups, power supply, and offers a 99% uptime guarantee. The software is secured using HTTPS as well as secure and trusted SSL certificates verified by leading security certificate providers. All client data remains on the secure servers and is never transferred. Surgesoft takes client security very seriously uses a proactive approach to work continuously to stay updated and ahead of any potential security issues.
Development Framework
PlanIt is developed using the latest web standards and languages to keep the software current and up to date with the ever changing world of website and application technology. We work constantly to ensure that the software works on the latest browser technology to ensure speed and security. PlanIt is built around a core Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL framework and backend architecture which allows for rapid development and for our developers to adapt quickly to changes and customer needs. Our interfaces make use of the latest JavaScript technologies which give PlanIt a rich look and feel and add great functionality without sacrificing style. JavaScript has emerged as the leading language in website interface design, and as such all modern browsers of today (Firefox, Chrome, Safari) include strong JavaScript support to optimize and run websites faster.
System Requirements
PlanIt is an online SaaS based application which is accessible from anywhere in the world. As such, the only requirements to use PlanIt from a user perspective are a high speed internet connection and a modern web browser. We recommend browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer (version 7 or higher).
Data Requirements
PlanIt is a customer data driven application that uses your own data to calculate your incentive compensation. The system requires transaction feeds which allow the system to calculate compensation plans per individual plan member. The system also makes use of Human Resource data to handle aspects like the organization structure, employee salary and incentive amounts, and custom periods. Data is an important aspect of PlanIt, and as such we have specialists who work directly with the customer and their data to ensure data integrity and correctness and to setup automated processes to keep the system updated with your latest data.
