David Johnston - President, Surgesoft Inc.
David is President of Sales Resource Group Inc. and Surgesoft Inc. With his broad, international consulting background, he offers invaluable knowledge and leadership to all of his clients. David has over 20 years experience consulting for organizations in diverse fields such as: media, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, technology, retail, manufacturing and financial services.
He has held management positions in Ford Motor Company, The Bank of Nova Scotia and Price Waterhouse. His consulting clients include Bell Canada, MeadWestvaco Corporation, Manulife Financial, Aliant, The Sun-Times News Group, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, 3M Corporation and Ericsson Communications. David advises clients in the areas of strategy, process optimization, sales compensation and competency modeling. He has managed multi-disciplinary teams in large-scale projects and is a sought-after speaker in the area of sales forces effectiveness.
David’s expertise and management experience affords him the capacity to direct and supervise all of Surgesoft’s accounts.
In addition to his consulting and management background, David holds Masters Degrees in Clinical Psychology and Business Administration. He teaches sales compensation for the WorldatWork and is a member of The Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario and The Canadian Professional Sales Association.
Shawn Trevellick - Director, Software Development
Shawn is a vital component of the senior executive team. He is Senior Applications/Systems Executive and Director of Software Development for Surgesoft Inc. Shawn has over 15 years experience in multiple programming languages and technologies and a diverse background in developing telecom, invoicing, commission, and data processing applications. He also has a senior management background, involving research and development, operations, and product implementations.
Using his expertise and executive skills, Shawn leads an exceptional development department that uses the latest technology to build a variety of Windows and Web based applications. He supervises the technical systems at Surgesoft including onsite training, creating customer applications, technical support, project management, and client relations.
Shawn’s education includes Computer Science and Technology and Dunn and Bradstreet Management training with extensive knowledge of C#, Visual Basic, HTML, SQL, ASP, JavaScript, and the .NET development environment. He has also worked outside of the development field in network administration, database administration, and customer service.
Chris Mason - Vice President, Sales
Christopher Mason is VP of Sales for Surgesoft Inc. He has over 20 years experience in sales and sales management and has been in the Incentive Compensation space for over 5 years. Chris is charged with the development of new business for North American and will oversee the building of the sales team.
Chris’ background in Sales Performance Management will aid him in introducing the Surgesoft flagship product, PlanIt to the market. Beyond his experience at sales comp leaders Makana, where he led all sales efforts and Centive, where he was in charge of the sales for their core enterprise product, Chris has sold software for a CRM early innovator as well as working with a top lead development company. This experience will aid Chris in developing the sales process that will lead SRG to become a recognizable force in Incentive Comp Management.
In addition to the SPM space, Christopher has also helped build a top recruiting company and oversaw the growth of the firm to include 6 partners. He started his career at ADP where he won numerous awards for achievement which led him to shift his career to the software industry. His work experience also includes working for Cognos (IBM) and Applix (IBM) where he participated in the company’s IPO. He is a graduate from the University of Colorado where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the Leeds School of Business.
Matt Tyre - Director, Client Services
Matt Tyre fills a key role on the executive team as Director of Client Services with Surgesoft Inc. His knowledge and experience provides him the ability to oversee the implementation and integration for all partnerships between Surgesoft and their clients.
His experience is derived from seven years working for three Fortune 500 Companies (Pepsi Bottling Group, Canon Canada, and ACS) in the areas of Sales and Project Management. He also has five years of Human Resources experience; managing a recruiting firm and conducting compensation market data studies for global organizations with the research division of Surgesoft. Matt’s technical understanding is also an extremely valuable asset to Surgesoft in the implementation and customer support of the PlanIt software application.
Along with his HR experience, Matt also brings diverse sales industry experience and sales compensation knowledge to projects. His experiences with sales compensation data analysis & reporting, and sales compensation systems implementation provides invaluable understanding of client needs.
